Site location and context
Extensive inter-tidal mudflats near Abu Dhabi city that is under private ownership and has restricted entry.
This site has regularly recorded Great Knot and it also has significant numbers of waterbirds like Lesser Sand Plover, Greater Sand Plover, Slender-billed Gull, Kentish Plover, Bar-tailed Godwit, Redshank, Western reef Egret, Eurasian Curlew and Eurasian Oystercatcher.
Inter-tidal mudflats with low island which has small houses for accommodation.
