Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
Lakes, Pinus forests, acid bogs, meadows, abandoned fields and industrial areas all occur in the site. The main human activity was mining, abandoned in 1995.



Key biodiversity
The site is important for breeding raptors and wintering Grus grus. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Aythya nyroca (passage).



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
A new threat is the development of recreation activities around the hunting reserve.



Protected areas
National High International None2,430 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (2,430 ha).
