Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
A hilly area of Tuscany, mainly covered by heathland. The area can be divided into three subsites: Alpe di Poti, Monte Ginezzo, Pian di Scò. Main land-uses are forestry, hunting and heath-cutting (`Other').
An important site for breeding raptors and passerines, especially
Sylvia warblers.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are burning of vegetation, afforestation, abandonment of land management, and hunting.
