Site location and context
An archipelago of rocky islands with sand and shingle-beaches, rocky habitats and brackish lagoons.



Key biodiversity
The area is important for seabird colonies.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
No serious threats are known at this site. It is fairly well protected and wardened, although there is possible disturbance from tourism and sailing.



Protected areas
National High International High39 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Mer d'Iroise, 39 ha). 10,000 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (10,000 ha). 40 ha of IBA covered by Private Reserve (40 ha). 10,000 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Archipel de Molène, 10,000 ha). 10,900 ha of IBA covered by Biosphere Reserve (21,400 ha).
