Site location and context
As at January 2021, this marine IBA is completely or primarily within CCAMLR subarea: 88.3 , and CCAMLR MPA planning domain: 9
2 species triggers IBA criteria at this Marine IBA. An estimated 37986 - 53180 Adelie Penguins and 2923 - 4613 Emperor Penguins primarily from 3 and 1 colon(y)ies (as per the analysis) are present at the site during the chick-rearing period (ADP Dec-Feb, EMP Aug - Dec), respectively. Primary threats believed to be having population and site level impacts to penguin species in this marine IBA: Climate Change
