Site description (2000 baseline)
This site includes the southern slopes of the Guadarrama mountain range. The main vegetation-types are Quercus and Pinus woodland, degraded scrub and above 1,800 m alpine grassland.
Key biodiversity
An important area for forest raptors. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Aquila adalberti (resident).
