Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
A small valley facing the Ionian Sea, north of the village of Amendolara, rich in maquis, garrigue, grasslands and agricultural areas. The main land-use is agriculture.



Key biodiversity
An important breeding site for raptors, and stop-over site for many migrants.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are illegal hunting, and burning of vegetation.
