IBA Conservation

Ideally the conservation status of the IBA will have been checked regularly since the site was first identified in 2011. The most recent assessment (2008) is shown below.

IBA conservation assessment
Year of assessment State Pressure Response
2008 good high very low
Whole site assessed? State assessed by Accuracy of information
no population medium

State (condition of the trigger species' populations)
Species Actual vs Reference (units) % remaining Result
White Stork Ciconia ciconia 400 / 400 (pairs) 100 good
Egyptian Vulture Neophron percnopterus 3 / 3 (pairs) 100 good
Spanish Imperial Eagle Aquila adalberti 3 / 3 (pairs) 100 good
Bonelli's Eagle Aquila fasciata 1 / 1 (pairs) 100 good
Booted Eagle Hieraaetus pennatus 1 / 1 (pairs) 100 good
Milvus migrans 100 / 100 (birds) 100 good

Pressure (threats to the trigger species and/or their habitats)
Threat Timing Scope Severity Result
Transportation and service corridors happening now some of population/area (10–49%) slow decline (1–10% over 3 generations) medium
Natural system modifications happening now some of population/area (10–49%) slow decline (1–10% over 3 generations) medium
Biological resource use happening now most of population/area (50–90%) no or slight decline (<1% over 3 generations) low

Response (conservation actions taken for the trigger species and/or their habitats)
