Site description (2000 baseline)
An extensive mountainous area situated in the eastern Taurus range. The western part of the IBA is barren and rocky; the eastern part is covered with forests comprising Pinus, Abies, Cedrus and Juniperus. Alpine pasture and exposed stony fell occurs at higher altitudes.
Key biodiversity
The site is important for breeding raptors and other upland species.
