Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
A small coastal wetland with standing water, sand-dunes, and reedbeds (Phragmites).



Key biodiversity
This is an important location for breeding and passage waders.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are from illegal house construction, filling-in of the wetland and rubbish tipping (`Other' threats). A small part of the wetland is used by the military. The area is a candidate SAC.
