Site description (2003 baseline):
Site location and context
A block of large forest merged with Keli Kotto 15 km south of the area.
At least 11 restricted-range birds species are recorded, including the vulnerable Flores Green Pigeon
Treron florensis (BirdLife International 2001, Trainor & Lesmana 2000), where about 25-30 birds are recorded, including 13 birds recorded on altitude 900 m (Trainor & Lesmana 2000).
Main vegetation is tropical dry deciduous forest on volcanic rock, which is uncommon in Flores (Trainor & Lesmana 2000)
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Forest clearence (small scale) and hunting (Trainor & Lesmna 2000).
