General characteristics
This Secondary Area includes part of the Namib desert of southern Namibia (see map, p. 324). It is defined by the range of Dune Lark Certhilauda erythrochlamys, which is found in sand-dunes with low scrub or sparse tufts of grass, and sandy inter-dune flats (Maclean 1984, Keith et al. 1992).
