This Secondary Area is defined by the range of the threatened White-headed Robin-chat Cossypha heinrichi (classified as Vulnerable), which is known from one site in northern Angola and two sites in western Zaïre. It has been recorded in gallery forest and immediately adjacent savanna, and in forest patches, and is likely to be under pressure from clearance of its habitat.
