Government's support/relevant policy
To date, just one marine IBA has been declared (partially) as SPA. The Portuguese Goverment has sistematically delayed the designation of marine Special Protection Areas, which led SPEA to file an infrigement complain at the Euoropean Commission in 2011, which is now being addressed. Please see policy tab for list of agreements that this country is party to.
