This species has a tiny range. It is known only from one locality and is experiencing a continuing reduction in habitat quality through development, disease, and invasive species. It is therefore listed as Critically Endangered. 



Population size: 200-280 mature individuals

Population trend: decreasing

Extent of occurrence (breeding/resident): 46 km2

Country endemic: yes
