Site description (2009 baseline)
Located in the northern part of Huanjiang County, the north-western part of the nature reserve is adjacent to Guizhou Province. The IBA has many peaks between 900-1,300 m, and it includes 15,700 ha of forest.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Important plants include Bretschneidera sinensis and Alsophila spinulosa. Animals include Macaca assamensis, Macaca thibetana, Viverra zibetha, Moschus berezovskii, Manis pentadactyla, Felis temmincki and Python molurus.
