Site summary
This lowland area occupies the north-western part of Východoslovenská rovina geographic unit. Main habitats include intensive agricultural land, urban sites, and some mosaic agricultural land. Main activi­ties in the area are agriculture and hunting. The area is an important nesting site for bird species of open agriculture, and supports the most important national population of Imperial Eagle. Birds are threatened mainly by intensive agriculture and removal of windbreaks. The site is proposed as an SPA.
