Site description (2000 baseline)
The IBA is the site of a former large lake, drained at the beginning of the 20th century. Standing fresh water, reedbeds (Phragmites) and wet ruderal areas exist with arable land on higher sites.

Key biodiversity
The site is important for breeding and roosting waterbirds.
