Site description (2000 baseline)
A sea cliff in the extreme north-west of mainland Iceland. Recreation is the main land-use. There is no permanent settlement in the neighborhood. Eggs are collected traditionally from the auks at certain places on the cliff (`Other' land-use).

Key biodiversity
Important for its large numbers of breeding seabirds; other abundant species are Fulmarus glacialis, Fratercula arctica and Uria lomvia (12,000 pairs).
