Site description (2005 baseline)
These extensive open habitats are the most important nesting area of Montagu’s Harriers in Croatia. Succession of meadows results in developing white oak forests with the biggest Croatian population of Olive-tree Warbler. The main threats to birds are changes in traditional farming, agricultural intensification, excessive or illegal hunting and unregulated recreational activities and tourism.
