Site description (2000 baseline)
A large offshore archipelago in the middle part of the Gulf of Finland. The area holds many islands with rocky or stony shores. The largest of the islands are forested, with areas of meadows and Juniperus stands.

Key biodiversity
An important breeding area for archipelagic avifauna, especially for Sterna caspia.
