Site description (2005 baseline)
A mountain area with beech forests in upper parts and in lower parts young submediterranean forests, rocky habitats and mixed landscapes. One of the three most important breeding areas of Ortolan Bunting in Croatia. The main threats are changes in traditional farming, intensified forest management, excessive or illegal hunting and unregulated recreational activities and tourism.
