Site description (2009 baseline)
Located in Pingshan Town. The IBA include Longhu Shan Nature Reserve, which has 870 ha of monsoon forest remaining in its core area and nearby areas.
Key biodiversity
Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected animals include Presbytis francoisi and Macaca mulatta. However, since the establishment of the nature reserve, feeding of M. mulatta has greatly increased its population (now over 1,000), and P. francoisi is being out competed and reduced in number.
