Site summary
The IBA supports more than 1% of the population of the near threatened Hooded Plover and has also supported more than 1% of the global populations of the congregatory Australian Shelduck and Banded Stilt. However, recent counts suggest that all species are declining and the system may not continue to meet IBA thresholds.
