Site summary
This is the most important seabird breeding site in the eastern Indian Ocean, supporting about three and a half million seabirds in 1999, including more than 1% of the world population of Wedge-tailed and Little Shearwater, White-faced Storm-Petrel, Roseate, Fairy, Bridled and Sooty Tern, Common and Lesser Noddy (the only place where the last species breeds in Australia).
