Area: 463,310 hectares (4,633.10 km²)

Site description (2000 baseline)
The site comprises the whole of the long island of Prins Karls Forland. The habitat is high-Arctic tundra. Bird data are available for three subsites: Forlandsøyene Bird Sanctuary (78°20'N 11°36'E), Plankeholmane Bird Sanctuary (78°12'N 12°00'E) and Fuglehuken (78°53'N 10°30'E). Forlandsøyene covers three islands and a few small skerries; one island is bare, the other two are grassy with small pools. Fuglehuken is an area of sea cliffs at the northern tip of Prins Karls Forland.

Key biodiversity
There are significant numbers of breeding Branta leucopsis, and the seabird colonies at Fuglehuken are notable, especially for Uria lomvia (40,000 birds).
