Site description (2000 baseline)
A small archipelago, to the south-east of Mallorca, formed by two main islands and many rocky islets. Mediterranean scrub and small Pinus woodlands occur on the largest islands. The main human activities are military and fishing.

Key biodiversity
Breeding birds include four of the 20 species in Europe that are restricted to the Mediterranean biome (when breeding).
