Justification of Red List category
This species is considered Critically Endangered because it has a tiny range, within which its montane forest habitat has become severely fragmented and continues to decline in both extent and quality. Its very small population has consequently been fragmented into extremely small subpopulations, and continues to experience declines in its remaining habitat.
