This newly-recognised species has a very small range and population, suspected to be declining very rapidly as a result of extensive habitat loss. Due to this it is evaluated as Endangered.

Population size: 2500-9999 mature individuals

Population trend: decreasing

Extent of occurrence (breeding/resident): 1,100 km2

Country endemic: yes
