This species is classified as Vulnerable since habitat loss and range contractions suggest its small population is undergoing a decline, which is expected to accelerate to a rapid pace given projected rates of habitat loss. Further evidence suggests the rate of decline may be larger, and so this species may warrant uplisting in the future.
