Justification of Red List category
This species has a small range, within which it has a severely fragmented distribution, and in several parts of which its habitat is declining in both extent and quality. Its population is also now estimated to be small, fragmented and the number of mature individuals is inferred to be in decline due to habitat destruction. It is therefore considered Vulnerable, but further estimates of possible subpopulation sizes could mean this species warrants reassessment for uplisting.
