Justification of Red List category
This species is listed as Near Threatened because it has a very small range within which its habitat has undergone extensive destruction. However, the species can tolerate habitat degradation, and so it is not known to what extent the population has become fragmented. If there is evidence to show that it has in deed become severely fragmented then the species may warrant uplisting in the future.

Population size: unknown

Population trend: Decreasing

Extent of occurrence (breeding/resident): 5,300 km2
