Site description (2018 baseline)
Grahovsko polje is a complex of two smaller poljes - Pašića polje and Resanovačko polje.
Grahovsko polje is around 29 km long and 4,5 km wide at its widest point. It lies between mountain ridges of Vijenac, Šator, Dinara and Uilice.
Hydrologically these poljes are part of Cetina river basin, with Rasanovičko polje being a dry polje and Pašića polje a flooded polje with 5,78 km2 of flood area. Different streams: Struga, Korana, Prastruga, Stažbenica and Jadovnik flow through poljes and sink at their end.

Karst phenomena include Sabljića caves and Veliki ponori (Great sinks).
Cultural and historical legacy includes prehistoric forts, late-antic refugium and medieval church.

Key biodiversity
This complex is unexplored in terms of its biodiversity. So far 25 species of birds have been recorded in Rasanovačko and 37 in Pašića polje. The most important breeding species is Montague’s Harrier Circus pygargus and Meadow Pipit during migration Anthus pratensis.
