Site description (2000 baseline)
The Iveragh peninsula is situated in south-west Kerry, south of the Dingle peninsula. The site extends from 5 km west of Glenbeigh on the northern side of the peninsula around the coast to Lamb's Head on the southern side, and includes Valentia Island. This linear site comprises sea cliff, grassland and heath habitats. Information on land-use and threats is incomplete.
Key biodiversity
This is an important site for breeding Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax.
