Straight-billed Hermit Phaethornis bourcieri

Taxonomy

Taxonomic note
Phaethornis bourcieri has been split into P. bourcieri and P. major Hinkelmann 1989, following genetic evidence that the latter is actually more closely related to P. philippii and P. koepckeae (Araujo-Silva et al. 2017), plus morphological characters supporting the separation.
