Site description (2000 baseline)
The site is dominated by maquis, phrygana and limited arable land. A small lake and some saltpans are included. There are many mines and quarries.

Key biodiversity
This is an important site for migrating waterbirds and species associated with coastal cliffs and scrub. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Aythya nyroca, Falco naumanni (5 breeding pairs), Larus audouinii.
