Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
A partly drained lake with large areas of marshland. The IBA consists of two discrete parts.
The site was designated as a Special Protection Area on the basis of two breeding species listed on Annex I of the EC Birds Directive;
Circus aeruginosus (no longer breeding) and
C. pygargus (breeding in some years).
National Partial
International High930 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Tinglev Sø, 930 ha).
