Site description (2002 baseline)
The Roïalovické rybníky ponds IBA is composed of an extensive system of ponds of small and medium size situated in the forested land on the border of the Nymburk and Jièín districts. The dominant tree of the forests is oak. The area is important mainly for birds nesting in the reedbeds. It is also an important migration stopover of waterbirds and raptors.
