Site description (2009 baseline):

Jiaozi Xueshan is a high mountain in central Yunnan with snow cover from November to April. It has an isolated population of Ithaginis cruentus but its taxonomy has not been studied. No scientific study has been conducted but this area is believed to be of ornithological interest.

Non-bird biodiversity: No information.

A provincial-level nature reserve which was established in 1994.
