Site location and context
The site boundary is based upon a seaward extension of 2 km around Hatu iti to encompass the foraging range of IBA threshold numbers of Blue Noddy based upon a 2010 population estimate of 250 - 999 individuals from Champeau, J., Butaud, J-F., Waugh, S. and Cranwell, S. (unpublished) A first comprehensive bird survey of Hatu-Iti Island, Marquesas Islands, French Polynesia.
