Site description (2009 baseline):

Site location and context

Located in Yongren County, Chuxiong Prefecture. The main habitat is Yunnan pine forest, with some evergreen broadleaf forest, scrub and grassland. Forest cover is 70% and it is well protected. Tourism for residents of nearby Panzhihua City has been developed in recent years.

Established as a prefecture-level nature reserve in 1982.
