Site description (2009 baseline)
Located in Yang Xian county, on the southern slopes of the central Qinling mountains. The IBA has primary and secondary forests, and despite the heavy disturbance to the forest it has retained its biodiversity. The nature reserve was established to protect Giant Panda and its habitats, and there has been a GEF site management project since 1997.
