Human activities include arable farming, tourism and recreation (including boating) and hunting.
An important site for passage and wintering waterbirds. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria:
Crex crex (breeding).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are the expansion of gravel-pits and further development of recreation activities.
