LC
Western Yellow-spotted Barbet Buccanodon dowsetti

Taxonomy

Taxonomic note
Boesman & Collar (2019) establish Buccanodon dowsetti as a split from B. duchaillui based  on voice and tail length. Pending reaction from the ornithological community to splits based entirely on voice, it appears appropriate to accept the validity of these new species given their meeting of the Tobias criteria.

Trend justification: The species is tentatively assessed as being in decline due to habitat loss per Tracewski et al. (2016).
