Myiomela diana (del Hoyo and Collar 2016) was previously placed in the genus Cinclidium following Sibley & Monroe (1990, 1993).

Population justification: The global population size has not been quantified, but the species is described as scarce in Sumatra and uncommon on Java (del Hoyo et al. 2005).
