Justification of Red List category
This species has undergone historical declines, but there is little evidence for declines continuing at present. Habitat degradation is continuing, but there is not sufficient evidence to infer a continuing population decline due to this. The species is tentatively assessed as having a small population size, though previous estimates were likely too small. Therefore, it is precautionarily assessed as Near Threatened.
