This species is thought to have a small population with a single subpopulation, which is suspected to be experiencing a moderately rapid decline owing to on-going deforestation. For these reasons it is evaluated as Vulnerable under Criterion C2a(ii),

Extent of occurrence (breeding/resident): 4,800 km2

Country endemic: Yes
