Justification of Red List category
This species has a moderately small range which may approach the thresholds for area of occupancy and locations for listing as threatened under Criterion B2a. Its habitat quality is inferred to be declining due to uncontrolled fires and its area of occupancy is projected to decline as a result of climate change, meeting condition B2b. It is consequently classified as Near Threatened.
