Justification of Red List category
This species is largely dependent on forests and occurs within a region in which deforestation has been widespread and rapid in recent years. Given its occurrence in secondary and montane forests, it is suspected to be undergoing a moderately rapid decline overall, and is therefore considered Near Threatened.
