Justification of Red List category
This species is restricted to various small patches of suitable habitat within a small range. It is therefore likely to have a small global population that is fragmented in structure; however, it is thought to be stable at present, thus the species is considered Near Threatened. It should be carefully monitored for any evidence of future population declines.
